The Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) is a legally registered non-profit organisation supporting the fair and ethical treatment of Kilimanjaro porters, cooks, and mountain guides. An initiative of the International Mountain Explorers Connection (IMEC), it monitors registered tour operator companies to ensure that they maintain responsible treatment practices while offering educational classes to empower Kilimanjaro mountain crew.
